We Need a New Creed
The top to median household net worth in the United States approaches 1,500,000:1. In 1776 it was closer to 1,000:1. Let us declare anything exceeding 10,000:1 to be absurd. Let 10,000x the median be our line of absurdity. Let 10,000:1 be our new creed.
Patronage Kills Democracy
To save democracy, we must save the middle class. To save the middle class, we must solve for household precarity and household dependency. Conservatives have no plan to solve either. Progressive plans could solve precarity but would aggravate dependency.
